Biomedical waste is any type of waste contains liquid or solid comprising of the very harmful materials which produced by the healthcare facilities e.g., medical practices, laboratories, hospitals, health camps etc. This waste comprises of discarded medicines, dressings, human tissues, body fluids, contaminated blood, contaminated cotton, drugs, and sharps such as scalpels, blades, needles, glass and lancets. Biomedical waste disposal and collection has the highest risk to the healthcare system, general community and to the sanitation workers.
