It has been recognized that much of the burden of cardiovascular disease is borne by economically disadvantaged populations in South Asia. These populations are also affected by the CVD epidemic in Pakistan, which is considered one of the least developed regions in the world. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the frequency of adverse events associated with statin use in the Pakistani population.
