IPL2024: Ramandeep Singh faces fines for violating the code of conduct during a match against the Mu

In the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on May 11, 2024, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Ramandeep Singh from KKR got into trouble for breaking the rules. He had to pay a fine equal to twenty percent of his match earnings because he violated the IPL Code of Conduct. This happened during Match 60 of the IPL 2024 season.

Ramandeep's action was considered a Level 1 offense according to Article 2.20 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He admitted his mistake and agreed to the punishment given by the Match Referee. The decision made by the Match Referee is final and must be followed for Level 1 offenses.

Despite this incident, Ramandeep contributed well to the game. He scored 17 runs off just eight balls, helping KKR reach a total of 157 runs. Although KKR lost early wickets, players like Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, and Rinku Singh played crucial roles in building the innings. Mumbai Indians' bowlers Bumrah and Chawla performed impressively, but KKR managed to put up a competitive score on the board.
